Okay, so this was seriously one of the best tasting meals I have ever eaten let alone cooked myself. I felt inspired by these Shirataki Noodles to make something great with them, and I already had made Chicken Alfredo with some wide ones, and was planning on making some Spaghetti and Meatballs with some others, and I just had this craving for some ramen.
This is like the real deal type of ramen you go out to a restaurant for, and not the kind of ramen you make in the microwave at your office. It tastes nothing like that stuff out of the plastic wrappers or styrofoam cups. Even if you have never had some full-on Ramen before we highly encourage you to try this dish out.
You can forgo the whole shrimp in the dish if you want, as they are often hard to find at most grocery stores anyhow, but I highly encourage you to use some if you can find a few. Just make sure that all of your shrimp is raw, thawed, peeled, and veined before you cook it (except dont peel the whole shrimp of course).
IF YOU WANT TO MAKE THIS DISH, BUT DON’T WANT IT TO BE SPICY, SIMPLY LEAVE OUT THE SRIRACHA SAUCE OR USE HALF AS MUCH AS WE CALL FOR. THE SAUCE ADDS FLAVOR IN ADDITION TO SPICE, SO IF YOU MAKE THIS WITHOUT SRIRACHA IT MAY NOT TASTE THE SAME OTHERWISE.
KETO SPICY SHRIMP RAMEN RECIPE
Ease of Preparation: Easy
Prep Time: 10 Minutes
Cooking Time: 15 Minutes
Total Time: 25 Minutes
Ingredients:
- 3.5 Ounces Fresh Shitake Mushrooms Sliced
- 1 Pound Raw Shrimp (Peeled and Veined)
- 6 Full Shrimp (Optional)
- 32 Ounce Chicken Broth or Stock
- 2 Ounces Bragg’s Liquid Aminos
- 2 Tablespoons Sriracha Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Avocado or Olive Oil
- 3 Tablespoons Minced Garlic
- 1 Whole Green Onion (cut into really thin pieces)
- 1 Package Shirataki Spaghetti Style Noodles
- 2 Hard Boiled Eggs
- Seaweed (optional)
- Sesame Seeds (optional)
Instructions:
- In a deep soup pan add the Avocado or Olive Oil and raise to Medium High Heat.
- Add in the Garlic and cook until browned.
- Add in the 3.5 Ounces of Fresh Shitake Mushrooms.
- Add in about 3/4 of the sliced Green Onion and sauté.
- Put in the 1 Pound Raw Shrimp and cook while stirring for about 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the 32 Ounces of Chicken Broth or Chicken Stock, 2 Ounces Bragg Liquid Aminos, 2 Tablespoons Sriracha Sauce and bring to a boil.
- If using the Whole Shrimp add them to the pot before it reaches a boil.
- Drain and Rinse the package of Shirataki Noodles and add to the pot.
- Boil for 2-3 minutes with the noodles and then remove from heat.
- This makes 2 heaping bowls of ramen so divide the contents equally among two large bowls.
- Slice the hard boiled eggs in half and serve 1 full egg on each bowl.
- Top with crumbled seaweed, sesame seeds, remaining unused Green Onion, and a drizzle of additional Sriracha Sauce.
Is there a nutritional panel available for this?
This looks great but do you have the nutritional info. Also, are the shirataki noodles keto friendly? Thx
Nancy, it must have skipped my mind to write up the Nutritional Facts. I will tally those up.
Yes, Shiratake Noodles are Keto-friendly. They have a great soluble fiber in them, and generally have zero to one net carb per serving. Just avoid the brands that sell these types of noodles made from SOY. I’ve also heard the soy ones don’t taste that great either.
Have you had a minute to tally up the nutritional facts? I really interested in making this recipe.
Thank you!!
Just curious if you had a minute to tally up the nutritional facts?
Sorry didn’t realize the comment posted twice. I made this recipe last night and it was amazing. Definitely a keeper!!
I cant seem to find the print friendly button ????
I found the print friendly button but I don’t need huge pics & ads hogging up all my ink & I’m not computer savvy to know how to just print the text. Thanks for the recipe hopefully if I find more they will not include pics or ads in the print version.
I can look to see if there is a different print option available to me that removes those.
Recipes look great to try
Thanks Vince!
Still can’t find the calories, where you able to calculate how many?
Looking forward to making this… can u inform me about the macros ? Plz and thank you
This recipe was absolutely fantastic as written. I was shocked there was so much flavor out of so few ingredients. I did use my homemade chicken bone broth made from rotisserie chicken bones (pressure cooked), but everything else was spot on to here. It’s making our regular rotation now.
The broth is what’s really flavorful in this recipe. It comes out rich, almost like a Miso Soup.
I think this is going to be one of my favorites! I’m thinking of subbing with pork too. Thanks for a great recipe!
That’s a great idea too!
